All About Me
I'm Evelyn, a software engineer at Rolls Royce and a first-class computer science graduate with experience in many areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, REST APIs and React development. I'm a full-stack software engineer and have worked on a variety of industry standard projects including an e-commerce site built in React and typescript which features two backend API implementations, one in C# and another in Python, using FastAPI, which both use a SQL database to store product and user details including liked items and items added to a shopping cart.
Formerly a python instructor for Code First Girls, a charity aiming to improve the representation of women and non-binary people in the tech industry, I got the opportunity to share my passion for programming and pass on my knowledge to people from other fields of study. My time with Code First Girls has always been something I'm proud of as representation in the tech industry is something I'm genuinely passionate about and something I want to improve through my work with CFG but also through some of my own projects like QueerCoding, a website designed to advertise online tech classes to the LGBTQ+ community

Code First Girls
As a volunteer Instructor for Code First Girls I've taught a variety of programming fundamentals such as conditional and logical operators and loops. Students who wished to take their learning further were also taught data visualization using matplotlib.
Machine Learning
One of my personal favourite projects was using machine learning models to predict developers income based on a variety of attributes such as their job, years of experience, gender and much more. Ultimately my model proved to be 88% accurate. If you want to see an overview of the project here is the documentation and code.
